Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni

Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni was born on 21st May 1967 at Cholacha gudda of Badami district in Karnataka. He was the eldest son of his parents. Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni had completed his I T I training at Banashankari Bangalore. However, he was very keen to serve the country by being part of Indian armed forces.  At the age of nineteen, he finally joined the Indian army and was extremely happy as he could get a chance to serve the motherland. On 15th April 1993, Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni got married to Nirmala and they had two kids, Vishal and Sahana.

 

In the year 1986 he was inducted into 16 MEG of Indian Army and after his initial training he was posted to various places. His unit was involved in the Op Vijay during Kargil war that took place in the year 1999. On May 27, 1999 he died while fighting the Pakistani army who had entrenched themselves inside Indian territories.

 

Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni laid down his life in the service of nation.

 

He is survived by his wife Nirmala, children Vishal and Sahana.
