Naik Kalicharan

Naik Kalicharan hailed from Chama village in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. He was born on 7th May 1979 to Mr. Samantha and Mrs. Santhi Devi. He completed his PUC from Hari Adarsh  Inter College in Chama village. In the year 1998, he joined Indian Army and was posted to Rajputana Rifles.  He was a sincere, obedient, honest and hardworking child ever since his school days. Naik Kalicharan got married to Biweshi Devi in the year 2003, and the couple had three children.


Mine Blast, Assam: 28 March 2018


During 2018, Naik Kalicharan unit was deployed to Tamang in Assam. On 28th March 2018, Naik Kalicharan was leading a patrol party along with his crew members. The terrorists had planted mine bombs in the area of Tamang, Assam, where regular patrol used to come on rounds. Naik Kalicharan’s patrolling party came under a mine blast.  Due to the effect of blast Naik Kalicharan suffered severe injuries, immediately he was shifted to the army hospital nearby. Later he succumbed to his injuries and made his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty while serving the motherland.


Naik Kalicharan is survived by his wife, father, brother, sister and his children Aruna, Kapil and Chaaru.
