    Maj Gaurav Sharma, 79 Regular, IMA, was my course mate. We were together in 4th Pl, Alamein Company with our cabins next to each other. Indeed we shared a close bond. Gaurav hails from Gorakhpur. He had volunteered for PARA Cdo. Later I lost touch with him.

    Shaheed Major Gaurav Sharma Tyagi, S/o Late Sh Kushalpal Tyagi is my Maternal Uncle Mama. He belongs to Villaggw Bharatpur Deoband distt Saharanpur UP.
    He sacrificed his life in the line of duty during his posting in Rajori Mendhar Sector on 17 Aug 2000 while he had to assume the charge as Lt Col in Sep 2000. Salute Bravo
