Lt Col Rajneesh was born in  Farrukhabad district of  Uttar Pradesh.
 
 
 
Helicopter Blast, Siliguri: 30th Nov 2016
 
 
 
On 30th November 2016 a Cheetah helicopter was flying on a routine training mission around Sukna Military base near Siliguri in West Bengal. Lt Colonel Rajneesh Kumar and Major Arvind Bazala were the copilot of the chopper while the captain of the chopper was Sanjeev Lathar . Just when the chopper was about to land at around 11.45 AM it developed technical snag , Lt Col Rajneesh and other officers tried their best to get over the problem but the helicopter crashed killing all three officers and critically injuring a JCO.
 
 
 
Lt Col Rajneesh is  survived by his Parents, wife and two children.
